  In the middle of the shop is a Chestnut Canoe just brought in. It was stripped earlier this fall. I glued up new rail tips and added a new piece to the top of the stem. This is a standard fix we do to most canoes that come in for restoration. Rollin has been working on the lap strake, clinching nails and sanding the interior. Soon we will begin to install the missing ribs. The lighter sections you see here are where ribs have been removed and the planks sanded. We also brought in the boat on the left. This is an Old Town "Sea Model". It has been drying and is now entering the finishing stages.....
